Welcome to this special collection, Debra’s Jewels. This collection is dedicated to, inspired by a very special woman, Debra Beebe. I am very happy to call my friend since 1983 when we met at a spiritual workshop. I feel so blessed to have had her in my life. We would meet once a year at this spiritual workshop where we first met and it continued for many years. I would stay with her at her home and we always found projects that we were both excited about. Sewing, pattern making and beading just to name a few, along with our spiritual beliefs.
We would spend hours talking about our passions and things that we had learned. I learned so much from her about loving, her patience with people, her sense of compassion and forgiveness ….. I always left learning and striving to be better. The love I have for her runs very deep. Her time on this Earth ended in the Fall of 2014… way too soon for the people who loved her.
When she passed, her husband, Steve, asked me if I would like to have all her beads and jewelry making materials and tools. I was happy to have them, but it took months before I could open the boxes. In keeping with her great taste and sense of style, the beads were of the highest quality and very interesting. She had them packed so I could see how she was planning to put them together.
To honor her specialness, I have created this line of jewelry that I hope is symbolic of our friendship and her values. I am blending together our beads or pieces that she had started with my sense of design. These pieces are made from the best of materials and each piece will be a very limited edition or a unique, one of a kind piece, just like opur friendship.
In keeping with Debra’s spirit, a portion from the pieces sold (15%) will go to charities that focus on things she was passionate about. Care for abused women and children, caring for people and shelters & care for animals, especially cats. The charities listed do some of the best work around in their field of expertise.
